  • This bowl is made of Ash from a local firewood lot. It came from the crotch of the tree, and shows a remarkable amount of figure and character. width:512;;height:312

  • I got this wood from a firewood lot in Pasadena, CA. It's Camphor, and man, did I have clear sinuses after turning this stuff.   • This is more wood I got from a firewood lot in Pasadena. The wood guy told me it was "Liquid Amber" wood. After a little research, I learned it was "Liquidambar", and it's just another name for Sweet or Red Gum. Whatever the name, it provided for an attractive bowl.   • This is a natural edge curly Maple bowl, with some of the most pronounced curl I have seen. The finished size is about 18" x 14" x 3 1/4". When this piece was displayed before it sold, people could not resist feeling the wood to see if it was as rippled as it looks.
